That is a great question. A biofuel is a fuel that can be made, rather than fossil fuels which are made over thousands of years. Examples of biofuels include ethanol (often made from corn in the United States and sugarcane in Brazil), biodiesel (vegetable oils and liquid animal fats), green diesel (derived from algae and other plant sources) and biogas (methane derived from animal manure and other digested organic material). Almost anything which contains sugar or carbohydrates can be made into biofuel.
Biofuel is better for the environment and can be sustainably produced.
