      Yes, I love learning new things all the time! I started learning how to make pottery last year, and I began learning Japanese a few years ago. I think life is all about learning new things, and so I guess that’s why I love science.

      In science I learn new things all the time. Any research you do should be original, so you should always be learning something people haven’t learned before. I also like to learn about new groups of species I don’t know much about – at the moment I’m concentrating on learning more about wild flowers so I can name more of the flowers I see.

      Apart from my work, I like to learn about cooking. I am going a course on how to do French patisserie baking in a few week’s time. I also like learning about history so sometimes read books about some of the ancient cultures, like Rome or Assyria.
