An Australian seagrass (known as Poseidons ribbon) is more than 70 squared miles wide and thought to be over 4,500 years old. It is able to grow so big by cloning repeatedly cloning itself.
Whilst the giant sequoia is the largest tree in terms of biomass and wood volume with it being recorded at 8.98 meters wide and 95 meters tall.
