• Question: do you use more than one plant for your research? If so which ones and how was the research?

      I mainly study Pea plants. However, with a PhD you are also involved in many side projects, so I have also worked on Wheat, Barley, Arabidopsis, Soybeans, Maize, Millet, Sorghum and Tobacco.

      I find Peas the easiest plant to work with and measure (because I work with them the most). Whilst Tobacco is my least favourite (they are good for genetic transformations and cloning, but measuring their photosynthetic rates can be tricky and their leaves can break very easily).
