Question: As a biologist, other than photosynthesis, what do you think is the best thing about plants?

That’s a great question! Photosynthesis is obviously really cool, you are right there, but also what I find amazing is a plant’s ability to withstand varying conditions around them. If we are hot we open a window, if we are cold we put a jumper on. But plants can’t do that! They have to stay where they are and make everything they need – including proteins and vitamins that we get when we eat them. So they have this giant ability to make everything, to withstand extreme climates, and to just persist where they are. I think that’s really cool!
