• Question: What inspired you to become an oceanographer and what field of science do you love the most?

      Hi Shradha, I started out studying Physics at university, but then decided I wanted to do something related to climate change. I didn’t even realise Oceanography was a subject you could study! I went to an Open Day at the University of Southampton and fell in love with the idea of studying the oceans right then. The oceans, and their role in the whole connected Earth system, are my favourite topics.
