If I’m honest, I almost feel as though I never really “chose” to be a science, it just sort of happened! When I was doing my A-levels, I had no idea what I wanted to do as a career- instead I picked subjects that interested me, and environmental science was one of them. When you learn the science behind something, you suddenly see the world in a different way because you understand how and why it is like it is (such as seeing a chalk cliff and knowing that it was one the bottom of an ocean). I really liked that and wanted to learn more, so I guess that was the start of my journey into science…

Honestly I just really enjoyed the subjects in school, so I kept on studying them…. and I never stopped!
