Good question, I like how you worded it because you do get that sigh of relief! When I finish writing an article about a really interesting bit of research I definitely go “I’m so glad I get to do this as part of my job!” The research can sometimes be quite tricky to understand so when I know I’ve written it in an engaging and fun way then I feel like I have done my job well 👍🧐
Mine is when I get to present interesting and useful results to a client, which can help them to solve an issue with a product or process! I definitely have a sigh of relief when a presentation goes well and the client is happy!
I find that my work days go quickly because there’s lots of different projects on, which are really interesting, and I’m always learning new things. And I think that shows me that I made a good career choice 🙂
A lot of the experiments I do take a long time- sometimes several months. So my favourite part of my job is when I get the results at the end of a very long experiment and I get to find out something new about how what I study works. I am glad I chose this career option- my job makes me very happy!
