      Hello Rhysk,
Phages can be used to treat diseases caused by bacteria, for example: stomach diseases caused by Salmonella or E. coli, skin infections and urinary tract infections. Diseases caused by viruses, for example AIDS or COVID19, cannot be treated with phages. The relevance of phages is that some bacteria become resistant to antibiotics, so patients that have an infection caused by one of these resistant bacteria cannot be cured with antibiotics. But phages can help in these cases! So they can be life saving.
