In school it was Maths, Physics and Chemistry and sometimes English.
As I went through university I got really interested in studying superconductors and superfluids, so that is what I do now! They’re both things that behave very oddly when you cool them down to very low temperatures (some as cold as around -270 degrees Celsius!). Superconductors can become really powerful magnets and superfluids do crazy things like climb up walls and forming vortices (like whirlpools) that never stop spinning!
