• Question: why do we test on animals and not humans???????????

      Good question! That’s because medicine is mainly trying to save humans, not animals. So humans consider that making a mistake with medicine on animals is less dramatic than if it happened on humans.

      I understand why you ask this question though, and I’d understand that you’d criticize that choice. However, it is always necessary to test medicines, and I’m not sure how we could do better differently. If you come up with ideas about this, I would strongly recommend that jump in the field and come help scientists to do better!

      Good question! It would be great if we don’t test on animals or humans at all, and most companies are now not testing on living things at all.
      However, a few years ago when someone developed a new medicine or face product they didn’t want to sell it to people before they knew it was safe, so they tested on animals.
