That’s a tough question! If I’m realistic, I’d probably choose a close enough planet like Mars or Venus, because it’d take only a few years to go there, and they are hard enough to walk on it. However, I’d be really excited to dive into Jupiter to see what’s behind those gigantic clouds! It must be so fascinating to dive into it and see whatever it looks like in there.
Well, you asked about living, though, and right now, we can’t live on any of these planets. So, in reality we would need to find a planet which has water on it, and molecules that contain carbon so we could make biological stuff with it, and grow culture. We have not found such a planet yet, but there are a few candidates in our galaxy that have been spotted by astronomers. However, they are so far! It would take sometimes more than a lifetime to go there! So there is a lot of work to do to be able to travel for so long without dying! If you are interested, please join the fun and do research on this so we can do it one day!!
I would probably try one of the habitable planets in the Trappist system – we think one of these might have water and so could support life!
Kepler 16b would be cool, because it has two suns so you would have two sunrises and sunsets, but unfortunately I don’t think this planet can support life!
