Science is quite everywhere in my life. When baking, just turning the temperature button of my oven makes me think of physics. The weather makes me think of chemistry. Changing a light bulb makes me think of electricity. Listening and playing music makes me think of waves. Even when reading the news, seeing masses of people believing certain things, or voting in a certain way, makes me think of statistics. Science is everywhere in my life really. If I was not a scientist, I think I would just not be able to see it, although it would be there anyway.
Sometimes it can be overwhelming, because non-scientist people don’t need to bother thinking about these things. But sometimes it is also rewarding because you get to make smarter choices than others for that same reason. And to be honest, I love thinking about why things work or don’t work, even if it’s not that useful, so you get to choose what you like to do 😉
