• Question: Why do objects only reflect certain colours?

      Certain wavelengths of light are absorbed by a material and others are reflected, or transmitted. Which wavelengths are absorbed is to do with the energy state of the atoms in the material.

      As an extension to Eleanors answer, it’s only the wavelengths that are reflected that you’re able to see!
