      Gradually, between 1961 and 1967 the electroweak (unified theory of electromagnetic and weak forces) has been developed by Sheldon Glashow, Abdus Salam and Steven Weinberg. The strong interactions were added in 1974, and the term ‘Standard Model’ was first used in 1975 🙂
