• Question: When enzymes denature and the tertiary structure changes so the substrate can no longer fit, and therefore the reaction can no longer occur, what happens to the enzyme afterwards as it can no longer catalyse any reactions, does it break down into amino acids to be formed in the body for muscle contraction etc? thanks
