While computing is probably more relevant to most jobs today (and I worked as a computer programmer for several years!), I’d still rather be teaching maths. There is a fundamental beauty to maths which makes it endlessly fascinating to me, and helping other people understand the truth & beauty of it is always engaging. Plus good knowledge of maths really does help you in so many different walks of life.

For me, definitely a maths teacher. I don’t think I’d be any good at teaching computer studies as I’ve only just learnt how to program myself!

I do enjoy computers- I built my first computer with my dad when I was 12. I don’t program as much as I used to, but given the choice, I would be a computer studies teacher, rather than a maths teacher. Coding is really fun when you learn how to do it properly, and there is a great satisfaction you can get from seeing your code work.
