      The only one I know is from a long time ago when the Large Hadron Collider was being turned on. Some conspiracy theorists decided the LHC was going to create a microscopic black hole and destroy the Earth and everything around it (it clearly didn’t).
      In fact, theory says it was a possibility these microscopic black holes exist (in extra dimensions) and the LHC might possibly be able to make them. Buuuuut there was no way it could swallow the Earth, because if the LHC could create them, we must have been getting bombarded with them since the Earth’s creation.
      The only good thing the conspiracy did do was to give the LHC lots of publicity!

      Yeah, similar to Jordan I don’t know many but the idea that people thought the LHC was going to create a black hole which would be the end of the Earth is quite an amusing one to think about!

      There’s one more connected to LHC – according to some, the science is just for a cover, in fact, LHC is supposed to summon the devil. Of course, what else would it be for? Everyone knows that the devil can’t resist colliding protons!
