I’m not actually sure what the official argument is, but I’m not sure I would like it if there was another one of me walking around.
What if alternative me committed a crime – how would I prove I was innocent?

Probably partly just because we haven’t had chance to think through all the possible consequences yet. With anything as world-changing as human cloning might be it’s a good idea to know exactly what you’re letting yourself in for well before it becomes an actual issue!

I think mainly because the main goal would be to harvest organs to replace failing ones in the original body. You can easily imagine that creating a new life to kill it and use for spare parts will raise more than a eyebrows.

What Michele said reminds me of the film The Island – you should watch it if you haven’t seen it… maybe then you will agree that cloning people is ethically wrong.
