• Question: When will wifi be available wherever we go? (Like to the beach, in the middle of a field away from civilisation etc.)

I’m not sure anyone will ever bother investing setting up a network of ireless hubs etc, since 4G seems to provide as good a service. Its much easier to provide a global service from satellites than transmitting across the earth’s surface – like GPS and satellite TV connections.

Yeah like Vicky said, I think 4G renders it somewhat unnecessary — one of my colleagues doesn’t even have wifi in his house, he just uses his mobile data connection!

Yeah, I think 4G has it covered really… I had a little look online and it seems there are a few projects running at the moment to try and provide internet access across the world… My favourite is Google’s ‘Project Loon’ which you can check out here http://www.google.com/loon/ It’s not the conventional wifi you are probably asking about 😉 but I think its a pretty cool idea! 😀
