Question: What made you decide to do a PhD?

Its probably not the best reason to do a PhD… but I will be honest. I did my MSc in Mathematical Sciences (which was an extra year on top of my degree) and then I applied for some graduate jobs to start in september… only I wash’t very successful and when I actually stopped to think about it I realised I still wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do. I was enjoying my masters project at the time and so my supervisor suggested doing a PhD. I wasn’t really sure about it and I applied late but was really lucky to get a scholarship, so I decided to take up the offer and see if it was for me 🙂 So yeah, I kind of just fell in to this career and I am really glad I did 🙂
