• Question: What is your favourite thing to do which includes Science?

      When I do workshops in museums and schools I like to build my own cloud chamber using a fish tank, LED lights, a steal rod, some alcohol, a baking tray, some blu tack and dry ice (which I learnt on a training day with STFC who are helping to fund I’m a Scientist Get me Out of Here this year 🙂 ). A cloud chamber lets you see interactions of nuclear radiation through a cloud of alcohol vapour. It’s a really awesome way of seeing the tracks particles are making and just how many are bombarding us every day from all over the universe! Why not get your teacher or class mates to help build one and see what happens? 😀
