• Question: What is mascara made out of and is it true that lipstick has fish scales in it?

      I don’t know… have you tried asking google? I’m afraid I could tell you far more about magnets than I suspect you want to know, but know nothing about mascara other than its black, and generally goes lumpy if you leave it in the drawer for too long.

      I really don’t know… but I’m pretty sure there are no fish scales in the mascara I use. Although I did Google it and apparently it’s a compound called guanine, which can be extracted from fish scales, which is an ingredient of some mascaras. Bat poo also contains guanine but I don’t think it is extracted from the poo for use in cosmetics… maybe we should start checking the ingredients more carefully! 😛 haha
