• Question: can snails leave their shells?

      No they’re attached to their body. When they are born they are born with a tiny shell and it grows as they grow. I had a pet snail called Sebastian (from The Little Mermaid haha) when I was about 5 years old and I loved that snail! But I accidentally almost squashed him one day 🙁 His shell was broken and most of it came off… Their bodies are the same shape as the shell, but without the protection of the shell he died shortly after 🙁
