• Question: Are there any conspiracy theories surrounding science? (Don't worry, you can tell me. I am not the FBI *wink*).

Yes, you should keep it on the DL, but I’m actually building a robot army to take over the world. Unfortunately my robots are mostly limited to finding coloured shapes right now, but it’s only a matter of time before they rise up and become our overlords, with me as their second-in-command.

We’re not hiring right now, but there’ll be some places for evil henchmen in a few years time if you want to get in on the ground floor?

Unfortunately the web is full of crazy people selling they even crazier theory to whoever is willing to listen. The worse part is that they use SOME scientific concept and some maths trying to sell their point which makes them more believable.
Knowledge as usual is the best weapon, so if you know your science well you will spot their weak points and you will be able to disprove them. Usually that king of people do not like being told that they are wrong, so you will have long and probably pointless discussion. Just walk away knowing that they are wrong and are probably trying to promote their own agenda which will be nothing good.

The only think I can think of thats a bit of a ‘conspiracy theory’ are the moon landings. People have and will always think that the moon landings where faked. However, if they were, what is stopping the astronauts who went there from telling all? And if they didn’t go to the moon then where did they go?

Some people even think that robots went to the moon instead of humans! This is their argument for how we got our scientific apparatus onto the moon from each of the Apollo missions…

I think you know which side I’m on! 😉
