My other big personal interest is history, so maybe I would be working in a museum or have gone into archaeology.

I actually had the chance to spend a couple of months during my PhD on a placement with a local museum where I was researching and cataloguing things like their collection of historical medical equipment (some pretty gruesome), which was a great time combining my two interests of history and medical science!

From the age of 4-16, I did a lot of dancing and singing competitions and shows. I was considering going into musical theatre as a career. I still love watching musicals and sometimes get jealous of the performers!

I would love to be a Tv presenter for science programmes…I have a podcast and have done a little video work so I guess I’m trying…

But if this is a “dream job” then I’d be in a band, probably one of the 80s bands when everything was big and cool!

I do a lot of youth work, so I think that is what I would do if I wasnt a scientist. But in fact I combine the two a lot by doing a lot of work popularising maths and science amongst schools.

I love to write stories, so being an author is something that I would love.

      Hi Jazz,

I think I would be a journalist. I always liked languages and writing and I think both scientists and journalists are sort of ‘discovering’ things and find out new stuff they report to the world and I think that is what really excites me about both jobs. 🙂
