I used to think I might become an author or journalist as I have always enjoyed writing.

Detective, lawyer or medical doctor. Ultimately I guess I combined the skills from all of these and became a scientist!

Maybe a medical doctor, or before that I was interested in working in museums or archaeology

I didnt really have a direction that I wanted to follow. I completed my A-Levels with good grades but did not want to continue to university. I applied for an entry level job in a laboratory and have worked my way up within the unit.

In terms of what job I felt I would enjoy I suppose the obvious one is a Vet but vets work long and unsociable hours and I didn’t want that! My dream would be to start my own hiking business and end up in one of this countries beautiful national parks.

      Hi Moses,

When I was very young I wanted to be a pastry chef because I loved decorating cakes.. then my mother told me they get up very early in the morning and I changed my mind. Then I wanted to become an architect but my father said I’d have to study a bunch of very complicated maths at Uni. Once I landed at Biology they had nothing to complain about anymore so that’s what happened 😉
