• Question: Thanks for the quick reply to my previous question. Alternatively I am now addressing the scientist who had claimed that it was due to sexual selection. If so then why is it that all males and females in this day and age are not have very different amounts of sexual appeal?

      I guess sexual appeal changes throughout the ages. Other factors apart from looks will also have an effect on someones sexual appeal to another – whereas the ancestors of human might think a good mate is one who can hunt or be strong, being successful and smart in modern society are also appealing. Also, individuals can have huge differences in opinion in what is “attractive”.
