Gave me a critical eye on what I see and hear. I don’t believe anything I stop and have a think, and challenge it if it makes no sense.

That and the internet, got to love the internet!

I think science has affected my everyday life in so many ways (e.g. without medicines like antibiotics I might not have survived this long)…and being a scientist has affected how I approach life…as James says, it makes you question things.

Science affects everyone, almost everything in my life has benefitted from something discovered by science.

It has affected my life in many ways too, I analyse quite a lot of things in my everyday life that I’m sure other people don’t. And I think it has made me cynical with respect to medical and scientific headlines in the media and press. Even adverts on TV that try and act sciency (like shampoo adverts) are difficult to believe.
