• Question: How do you study the frog's feet- don't they try to escape?

      I do all sorts of experiments with the frogs. I do whole animals experiments, where I let them climb up and walls and surfaces and see how they cope, but I also test a single toe pad at a time too. I’ve got a force plate, which can measure the forces when the frogs step on it, which is really cool. the frogs we have in the lab are used to being handled by humans, and so are very calm when we want them to climb on certain things.
