it won’t make a difference to my research (which is much more expensive) but will give me a chance to spend more time communicating about my science and talking with people like you.

Not to my work no, the project I work on has £100,000 to fund it so £ 500 is not much at all. But that isn’t the point, the £500 is meant to be for communicating my work and £500 goes a long way in poor rural areas of East Africa!

It’ll make a wee difference. If you and your mates chipped in another £500 each that would make a big difference.

The rules say the money should be used to promote my work, I cannot use it for my work or give it to charity. But what I can do is use it to encourage other young people to go into science, which in time will definately make a difference, not just to my work but maybe to the entire world. See my profile for more details.

This will help us communicate our work with CF patients – talk to them about what we are doing and listen to them about what they think!
