• Question: Will badgases ever over power oxygen?

      The oxygen we breathe comes from green plants. Some of these are plankton and bacteria in the oceans. Some are forests on the land.

      So as long as we can keep the oceans and forests healthy, we’ll have plenty of oxygen.

      By bad gases I’m guessing you mean carbon dioxide and methane, which cause global warming.

      There are only small amounts of these, but they have a big effect. If we put too much of them into the atmosphere the planet will warm and the seas and forests will struggle. And so will we.

      So bad gases don’t actually overpower oxygen. But they could have a bad effect on it.
