• Question: I saw you hadn't writtten anything in for favorite things to do and I wondered being a Writer now what do you miss about being a scientist?

      I miss the excitement of trying to get a computer model of something complicated right for days, sometimes weeks. Then suddenly it clicks and starts behaving like the real world.

      Then you can start making predictions and finding out new stuff.

      I do miss that. Writing’s very rewarding, but in a different way.
