      brain scans can now read people’s mind in a very limited sense. for example, if I put you in a scanner and ask you to imagine something, I could tell if you are thinking of a face or thinking of a house or thinking of playing tennis. But I couldn’t tell if you are thinking of your mothers face or your boyfriend’s face.
