Good question! I think maybe because my career has been so varied that I have done lots of different jobs, all involving science, and this means I have lots of different knowledge and information to share. Winning would mean that I can use the prize money to share that knowledge with other children and, hopefully, encourage children from a range of different backgrounds to consider a career in science (or even just to enjoy science). 🙂

😁 Who needs votes? We’re just here to show off our geek chic and to have a chat with you lot!!
I like to think that I’m here to show you that scientists aren’t all about science – I like lots of other stuff too.

Vote for me because I have great ideas to promote and show young people the new roles (like critical care science) that are growing across the country but are not known so well. I also have a enthusiastic and motivated team behind me to support and make them promotional ideas real!

Such a tough question. It makes me feel like i’m a politician!

Like everyone here, i’m really passionate about talking about my work and about science. If I win I want to work closely with my institute to reach out to even more schools in the local area and spread the message that science can be fun/ cool!

You should vote for the scientist who inspires you the most and makes you fall in love with science! Obviously look at what each scientist is aiming to use the money for and think is that something i would like to see happen

A very hard question to answer…. The most important thing is that you get something out of taking part in this and learn a little about what it is like to be a scientist. If I can help you do that and you enjoy talking to me then vote for me 🙂 If I win, I will spend the money coming into schools and demonstrating our computer models of the heart. I love talking about what I do and would really enjoy sharing this with children and using it to teach about the heart! It would also be a lot of fun!
