Great question! I’d like to feel I’ve helped other people and had fun in the process, as I think all scientists do.

On a more personal note, I’d like to really understand how the electrical waves in the heart can go wrong and start turning back on themselves. This causes bad diseases called arrhythmias, so would it worked be really important to know that to help people that suffer from these problems.

Would you like to become a scientist as well?

All I would like to achieve in Science is to have made a difference in some kind of way, whether its a big difference or a small difference. It could be identifying a new protein which helps to explain how the kidneys function, or it could be ground-breaking discovery to cure kidney disease once and for all! I’m not picky 😉

This is such a hard question! I think, at the end of my career, I would be happy knowing that my work helped at least one person. Obviously more would be better, but as long as one ill person benefitted I would be content.
