      Team work. Science is hard and no one can know everything and do everything. Science is all about helping each other out and working together towards figuring out an answer to a question. It gives work a good atmosphere are brings all sorts of different people together with a common purpose.

      I would say being resourceful is quite important. Sometimes things don’t go as you expect and it is important not to feel disappointed and quickly come up with alternatives. Have you heard of a TV series called MacGyver? That is the kind of resourcefulness that I thinking of…

      I think resilience and communication are important in science.

      Research is a lot of fun but sometimes it can be really hard to get an experiment to work. Often I have weeks where no experiments work and it’s easy to beat yourself up unless you talk about it with your colleagues.

      I kinda felt the same way about school work and studying at uni. It’s easy to get bogged down by the workload, I used to go for long cycles by the beach to clear my head!
