Question: Why do you have to use the same blood types for blood transfusion?

There are many different blood types and they are determined by the types of elements found on your blood cells. When you have a blood transfusion it is important that you are given blood of the correct type. This is because if you are given the wrong blood type you many have a severe immune reaction and your body may reject the blood that you were given.
