      Hi,
This a very good, but difficult question.

All our experiments are part of one project which we have asked somebody, like a charity, to give us money to do. These projects can be 1, 3 or 5 years long – mine is 3 years.

Within this project, there will be lots and lots of experiments. Some only take a few hours, most take 1-3 days, while others can take months!

No experiment is the same. Some take just an hour whereas some can take days and some months to finish.

When I get a specimen in the lab It usually takes 24 hours to process it. Within a day it’s ready for diagnosis. It then depends on any further testing maybe needed. Sometimes this can take a few days or a few weeks. That’s why when you go to the doctors it takes quite some time before you can get your results.

It varies, it depends on so many factors. Some days things can go really quickly and other days the same thing would take ages. No day is exactly the same
