• Question: Many people believe that the eye retains the last image it sees, but is that possible?

      The eye doesn’t actually have the image in it, it just takes in the light that makes up the image and transmits it to your brain. Your brain creates an image based on this. The bits of the eye (the rods and cones) that detect the light would see the last image but I am not sure if they would “keep” this information and if you could work out from them what the image would be.
