      I haven’t done one myself but I have seen it being done. One of the people I work with was the first surgeon to ever do a heart transplant in the UK. When a heart transplant occurs we often try and get some of the old heart that is taken out so that we can study it and learn about the disease. We want to get this tissue as fresh as possible so we are allowed into the operating room to get the heart as soon as it comes out.
