I love talking about science, to all ages and backgrounds. This seems to be a good platform, plus as a bonus, if I win I can further my teaching materials and show people in more detail just exactly what it’s like and what I see day to day.

I have done lots of talks to schools and colleges in my area. This sounded like a way of chatting to far more students and hopefully show them that careers in science are widespread, easily achievable and can be fairly well paid.
Winning would be the cherry on top – i could develop some more brain orientated material for schools to help you understand what goes on inside your head.

Good question! I guess I wanted the chance to tell the students taking part that you dont have to be super brainy or brilliant at maths to work in science. If you have a logical mind and love working on puzzles then you will really enjoy working in science. Unlike alot of jobs, its different every day and (nearly) always interesting.
Also I wanted the chance to tell people a bit more about epilepsy and get the message out to people at high school. That’s why I’d love to run the poster competition if I win.
