      During high school, I got interested in computer science when I started to build my own websites. But I also had a different interest, namely languages. I was not sure whether I wanted to study computer science, or whether I wanted to study a foreign language, such as French or Spanish. I decided to study artificial intelligence at university, and there I learnt that a part of artificial intelligence involves teaching computers to process language. This was a wonderful match and I have been working in that research field since then.
