• Question: How much do you work

      I work 37.5 hours a week. Currently I work 8.30-4.30 Monday to Friday, but soon I am moving 8-6 four days a week meaning I get an extra day off!

    Most of us work normal hours most of the time, but sometimes we need to travel, run experiments that can’t be left, or work shifts. Very occasionally I have an insane day when I work 8.30am-4pm and then 9pm-7am, which moves me onto a “night shift” for the following days, but that isn’t very often!

    I try to work a normal schedule, so 9:30 – 5:30pm. Sometimes if there are deadlines I will work a bit longer or at weekends, but I try not to.
