Question: Why do we need new uranium compounds???

There might be compounds we don’t know much about that occur in nuclear accidents or when used nuclear fuels are stored for a long time. If we don’t study them then we don’t necessarily know the full details of whats going on in those scenarios. There’s also an element of trying new things because they’re new and new is always exciting for science research
