Using radioactive atoms to treat cancer is something that already exists and is known as molecular radiotherapy. I’m looking at using new radioactive isototopes that haven’t been used before and might be better than the ones that are used at the moment. The problem is, these radioactive atoms only exist for a few hours or a few days so we have to find ways that we can produce them so we can test how well they can treat cancer and eventually hopefully use them in people.
