I am so old it was something called O’ Levels: From memory I did English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Geography, French, Technical Drawing. In lower 6th I think I did O’level Statistics.
Don’t have any regrets although perhaps i should have done English Lit too. I didn’t like it at the time but i saw the value in it afterwards.

Maths, Statistics, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, PE, Geography, Spanish, RE

However, A levels are usually more important when it comes to what you can do after school (university/apprenticeship/job). For most science and maths A levels, you’ll need a good grade in maths and science at GCSE. (e.g. when I was in school, I needed BB in science to study A level Chemistry and Physics)

Well.. I can only speak as somebody having the German A-levels. I had
      – Maths
      – Biology
      – Geography
      – German
In Germany you can study whatever you want with the A-levels (or equivalent). Also we had some rules which subjects we can or have to choose.. So, it is always an option (if you have the will and the support) to go abroad for studies and later on coming back
