  I have a hamster. Our neighbours cats often come round to say hello too.
  Waiting to get frogs in our pond and newts if very lucky.

  No – I wish I did! I would like to get a dog. I have had hamsters and fish in the past, though.

  I don’t! I only recently moved to Cambridge, and where I used to live in Hampshire I was in the countryside and didn’t have any proper fencing, so any pets I had would have escaped. I used to have deer, pheasants, rabbits, and squirrels running through my garden all the time – my new ‘garden’ in Cambridge probably has a few rats at night!

  I have a cocker spaniel called Pippa. She has just recently turned 1.
  She’s the first pet I’ve owned by myself as an adult but I had lots of pets growing up – 5 dogs, 3 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs, 2 shetland ponies and lots of chickens!

  Sadly not, but as soon as I finish with my PhD I will get myself a dog (havenese, tibetian terrier or similar)
