Question: is ai going to take over the world?

We’re already relying on it more and more. Internet searches, mobile phones, serving you advertisements, social media, betting on the economy, people’s jobs, etc, are all already being replaced by AI, which is replacing normal computing which is itself replacing so much of the modern world.

Is the sun going to turn into a big supercomputer? Probably not. But there is very clearly going to be a big impact made on the world and the economy by AI. We had the stone age, bronze age, etc, and are now firmly in the information age. These types of things absolutely do have an affect, and are partly why I took a PhD studying it!
