• Question: why is Pluto so small?

      I think there is no reason for why that is the smallest planet, it just happened to be. The width of Pluto is about half the width of the United States and it’s smaller than earth’s moon.

      After the Big Bang, all the planets were formed from a disc of swirling gas and dust which clumped together – and what clumped together varies for each planet which is why they have different compositions. This is why they’re of different sizes as well…it just happened to be that Pluto didn’t clump together as much matter as the other planets.
